Last week I said I would keep you up to date with what’s going on here while we finalise the details of the programme “Get Clients Chasing You – How to Land High Paying Clients Through LinkedIn.”

One of the major things I help people to recognise through this programme is the ‘Sales Funnel’

Let’s go into detail…

Sales Funnel

Stage 1 –                     Awareness Building

This could be content in the form of a whitepaper, blog post, video or webinar you can share on LinkedIn. These are things you can circulate to raise awareness; think of it as a way of introducing yourself to new people. Content helps me build relationships with new people all the time.

By sharing something valuable, it earns me the right to have a conversation with them. It’s my way of asserting my expertise. I share a lot of great content for free (check out my complimentary book on Amazon) – this affirms my knowledge and experience and creates likeability and trust.

Now, let me make this clear, I’m not saying that you have to write a book, but what I am asking is what can you provide that is something your audience will resonate with and want? For example, a Career Coach could offer an excellent CV template. Get me?

Stage 2 –                     Leads Building

This blog is a classic example of this…I’m communicating with you right now. This is where you begin to identify potential clients.

You could, for example, at this stage offer your “OPTIN” for free, in exchange for their email address.

One of the things I am doing as part of my course is to offer the chance to get this set up for you, so you don’t have to mess around with the technical aspects. You can concentrate on what is most important to your business – which could be creating content as we talked about in stage 1, to create conversations with customers.

Stage 3 –                     Sales Campaign

This is what you will be doing to actually sell your product/service. LinkedIn is a great tool to be able to do just that because it’s a database of hot prospects. By using this diagram, you can see why it’s so important to look at how you can give value, and not immediately jump in for the sale. You want to add value first…

Your Next Steps

The sales funnel exists to help you focus on where you need to be directing your efforts. If you haven’t taken the time to draw one up then I’d strongly suggest making it a priority – trust me, it’ll be worth it.

Using the sales funnel is a great way to gain clarity and make sure you’re staying on track to achieve your goals.

  1. Stage 1, what value can you offer?
  2. Stage 2, How are you building your email list – this is a key part of any business. (think of it like breathing, if you are not communicating – you are making it difficult if not impossible to get hired.)
  3. Stage 3, How can people get in touch with you?  How easy it is BUY from you?  Do you have payment plans in place or extra incentives to make the deal today or as FAST AS POSSIBLE?

Remember to get in touch if you have any questions; I’m here to help.
